Hi ladies! How many times before going out whether its to the club, a wedding, a sorority formal, or dinner do you look at your outfit and feel like something is missing? Luckily, I know just the cure. It’s as simple as a statement necklace to spice up your outfit. Whether you’re wearing a plain black dress, roper or shirt and pencil skirt, a gold, or colourful statement necklace can go a long way. A statement necklace not only adds life to your outfit but it also brings attention to your outfit as a whole, and it can display a side of your personality. Here are some of my favourite statement necklaces, and ideas for pairing them with outfits.
- Gold Choker – Aldo: I recently purchased this choker from Aldo for only $12.00 and am obsessed with it. Now that chokers are in, this goes well with formal outfits or spicing up everyday outfits. It is different than the typical black choker, and is more classier. If you’re wearing an off the shoulder top with shorts and heels, or even a low v neck dress, this choker is one to be added to make you look more classy and sophisticated.
- Edgy Spikes – Forever 21: This bejewelled edgy spike and boho necklace is fabulous. It can take a plain outfit to a sexy extreme. It would go well with a red dress or a flower printed dress and make it look more edgy and artsy. If you’re at a music festival or sorority formal, this necklace does the trick to bring up your outfit into a party look, but still keep it classy.
3. Teal Bohemian – Forever 21: Last but not least, a little colour goes a long way. This spike necklace with teal beads adds colour and fun to your outfit. It would look great even on a casual day out wearing white shorts and a tank top, and scrappy sandals. This necklace can be an everyday look or can be worn out to the club.
Overall, I am obsessed with statement necklaces, and switch them up all the time. They are affordable and can be worn on any occasion to make you look like you put an effort in your outfit. I always get compliments when wearing these. You can purchase them at Forever 21 or Aldo, and usually on most jewellery pages in online shops. Which one was your favourite and how would you wear them with your outfits? let me know!
