Getting out of bet in the morning  – this is a time when all the small things you do matter most to the outcome of your day. There are multiple techniques and things to do right as you wake up to ensure you have the most productive day as you possibly can. Below I will list some major key activities to do as you wake up that will help with stimulating your body and enforcing a positive mindset from the start.

 

  1. Open the windows. Whether it is a rainy day or a sunny day, opening the blinds and the window to let in fresh air and sunlight is a good way to let in fresh air and clear out the stuffy air from your room. Opening the blinds and letting in sunlight will also improve your mood instantly and get you excited for the day.
  2. Drink a glass of lemon water. Pour yourself a glass of water, and squeeze in a lemon wedge. This helps with boosting the digestive system, hydrating your body and providing it with vitamin C. Lemon is also known to clear toxins from the body and improve the immune system, and it is a great thing to drink in the morning that is relaxing and does not stimulate your body negatively as coffee would. Different ways to drink lemon juice can be by adding some to your warm tea, or simply a old glass of water will do.
  3. Journal. This is key for multiple reasons. 1) letting out your thoughts and ideas on paper are key in clearing your mind and organizing your time, 2) it helps you stay on track 3) it keeps you motivated and positive. Writing in a journal daily is key in organization and what better way to do this than right in the morning as you are sipping on a cup of tea? This journal is a great way to keep you motivated and positive, it has lines where you write your strengths, holds inspirational quotes, and is used twice a day, once in the morning and at night before you go to sleep – where you explain your accomplishments of the day, and how you could have improved in a specific task.
  4. Stretch. Stretching is a very important factor right when waking up. It is important to let the blood flow throughout your body after lying in bed for 8 hours the night before. Stimulating the blood flow and stretching the muscles will also help you feel more awake, and ready to take on the day.

Overall, these are just some ideas of starting off your day whilst living a busy lifestyle. Taking 10-20 mins to yourself before starting off your day can really improve the way the day turns out, and aids in making you feel more content.
